Development is well under way, but don't expect 10.5 to be released at the Expo in January.

With the Apple expo only days away, speculation as to what Apple will release is again rife all over the web.
8 Core Mac Pro's are very high on the rumour scale. This would probably make way for the Quad core to be the base and mid end machine, and the 8 Core as the high end. I would imagine that the Dual Core will be phased out.
iTV - Apple's set top streaming box. Already demoed back in the summer, this device won't get realised until Apple can launch their new Airport extreme base station. This all revolves around the new 'N' draft of wireless being approved. Expect wireless speeds of 200mbits. Twice as fast as ethernet !
Cinema displays: I expect the 23" Cinema to be ramped up to a 24", to come in line with the 24" iMac. Expect to see built in iSight cameras on the entire range.
