Looks like the new 3G iPhone will actually now be sold as a pre-paid option. O2 are quoting the price at £350. This will not require you to sign up to any contract with O2.
Now, whether the phone can 'hacked' to run any other carriers sim card remains to be seen.
If you want a contract with O2 then the 8gb iPhone will be FREE on their £45 & £75 p/m package.

3G is pretty much certain. GPS has been highly rumoured, along with video conferencing and a better quality camera.
